It's Nearly Summer But Bring A Jacket, Forever & All Ways
From day to night, and all the lingering moments in between, I'm here before the court to provide opening arguments in favor of jackets year round (and highlight a few in my current rotation).

As your self-proclaimed LJK (Light Jacket King), whereas my assortment of lightweight jackets reign over all that I survey and, simply, can’t be faded, I’m here to make a sturdy and grossly general proclamation: no matter the climate, no matter the time of day, no matter the destination, you should always bring a jacket.
For my money, jackets are undeniably the best piece of clothing ever created. And while I could be convinced denim offers a better use of fabric - and serves as America’s greatest contribution to the global fashion landscape - the jacket still towers above all, given its ability to be both its own entity but also [in this case] the best way to wear denim. Jackets are also just ambitious and wavy and flavorful and I feel like Ghostface would agree so that makes me right.
Given the nature of my primary residence in the never-ending heatbox that is Tejas, most would assume jackets are surely relegated to only a few short months out of the year. Wrong…WRONG! No matter if it’s visibly peculiar or just downright strange, I’ve figured out a way to wear light jackets year round. Quick set of rules for layering them throughout summer:
